Nothing 4 Nothing

This morning when I woke up the first thing on my mind was "Jake is going to die today" and I really felt scared. I don't know a Jake...but the words left me feeling anxious about any and all Jakes. Maybe I was having a nightmare...but I didn't remember it. Strange.
It is overcast and hot here today, so far we had 7 days in a row at 1oo degrees or above, but the good news is that it is suppose to cool off a little. I have a case of the "blahs" and accomplished very little today...hopefully by tomorrow I will have an attitude adjustment. I'm still watching World Cup on Spanish TV stations...one sportscaster always say "si si" twice I get a kick out of him...I don't know who he is but I named him "Si Si" I can not understand why one Italian player sucks his thumb after making a goal...isn't that a babyish thing to do? You'd think he'd do something more macho. And who is the player named KaKa....does he know what his last name
means in English? Or, maybe the "Si Si" is just saying it wrong....well, that's my soccer/football
insights for today....

When I first looked at the envelope I thought the return address was "Society of the Divine Sayid" My first reaction was 'What the heck? There is a society of Sayid?' lol I was getting excited about joining it. But upon closer inspection it read ' Divine Savior' .... ahhh
That is what 106 degree temperatures does to the brain...it fries it. I'm really tired of the heat already...only 90 more days to go.

Pink Dots revisited. Today a guy in a "City" vehicle that resembled a riding mower came by and "sanded" the sidewalk where the mysterious pink dots were located. An hour later a "City" pickup truck stopped with 2 men inside, one with a shovel who threw a couple shovelfuls of concrete "sawdust" into a small bucket while other man swept the sidewalk. Neither did their very good jobs...but that is "typical" city workers. About a half hour later a third "City" pickup stopped a man with a clipboard got out and examined the job done. I ask why was taxpayers money spent on this senseless and seemingly useless project? I don't understand why they "sanded" the sidewalk...it wasn't broken oe uneven? There must be other worthwhile projects to spend the money on..but alas...that would make too much sense!
Hot here today to 108, yesterday it was 106.... and it is going to get even hotter.

I've watched more soccer during the past 2 weeks then I did all my life!! Wish I knew more about the rules. fouls and all that. I saw Italia make a point for the USA, and France getting a goal that the ref denied even though the ball was inside the net, I saw a fan from France holding a real live rooster and an Italian fan in his briefs. What's next on the agenda? I think it is a sad thing that all the teams go to the stadiums in buses painted with their countries flags/names/logos but the USA goes in an unmarked bus! Why? Does the world hate Americans that much? Someone please explain this to me.
It has been extremely hot her the past couple of days, like 100 degrees in the afternoon.
I did some drawings on evelopes today, I read about "evelope art" the other day and said why not give it a try...if nothing else it keeps me occupied on a hot day. lol

Good grief...I googled a name of a person who shall remain nameless and what does appear on the search list...what I wrote about him in my blog!! Talk about embarrassing...my face is still red. I guess I never expected that to happen! I hope this nameless person never decides to google his own name...I'm in for big trouble...and will need to do a lot of explaining. Nothing is secret on the internet...remember that!! lol
Took a nice drive to the country today...with gas prices still 'up there' why are there still so many cars on the road? We are all just making the oil companies richer. Don't you wish now you bought that oil stock? lol I have been following the World Cup I think it's exciting...the game is so much faster then our American 'football' I'm rooting for USA, Italy, Argentina and Brazil.

There was a fender bender on my corner this afternoon. I heard tires squeal and then a wham-bang... and a woman yell "what were you thinking!" (definitely she watches too much Dr. Phil) I looked outside and all of a sudden neighbors started streaming out of their houses to see what happened. They even came out of their swimming pools dripping wet in bathing suits. I didn't even think these people were home because their houses had that gone for the weekend look. I found the looky-lous a rather amusing lot. Kids came by on bikes and skateboards, passerbys in cars made U-turns to get a better look. All the neighbors discussed what happened as if their opinion mattered. When the police arrived over an hour later the looky-lous were tired of the excitement and had gone back to their homes. This accident wasn't even worthy of a patrol car what arrived at the scene was a "community service officer" pickup, no tow trucks were needed.
After a brief investigation the cars involved having minor damage drove away.

I love the new song CRAZY...it sort of has a Motown 2006 sound...it is unique, especially the beginning and the start of each new section.
I phoned M instead of E by mistake and had to talk to both this morning...grueling!! I think I'm becoming a hermit I don't want or like talking to people lately...does that make me crazy?
I just heard a commercial on the radio for new cars and it sounded like the woman said
"Come on down today and spit in it" lol lol I know it was "sit in it" but it didn't sound that way.

Someone, the "City" perhaps, has painted pink dots on the curb along our street. The dots are about 15 feet apart. I'm curious what will happen next. Dots of any color painted by the "City" can't mean anything good. lol
I wasn't being a snoop, I was at my computer and I watched an old man who walked with a cane steal this afternoon. After the people across the street had their yard sale they put what was left in boxes set them on their front lawn for Goodwill to pick up. Before the Goodwill truck arrived this old man looked through all the boxes and took whatever he wanted... I saw him take away 4 long stem glasses, candle holders etc etc he even stole a cloth bag to carry away his items ! Then he walked slowly down the street. If the stuff was set out for the garbage to take away I wouldn't call it stealing...I don't really know if I'd consider this stealing...would you? The items were unwanted and he was OLD.

Just got back from a yard sale, I spent $1.00 for stationery and a paperback book...I needed them like a hole in my head!! Why do I buy other people's junk? Dang it, I already have enough of my own. What I really look for at sales are odd knick knacks...My 2 favorites are "BTL" (bacon, lettuce, tomato) it is a pink pig lying down on top a slice of brown bread with lettuce and a sliced tomato on his stomach. The other I called "Bug Eye Zebra" I actually haven't a clue to what it is, it is a zebra like black and white striped animal with a thick white tail, pink ears and bluging blue eyes, under it is a lot of crazy looking letters and numbers, the best I can make them out to be is "NII4P+M4Idho=>IPp4pT" I also have a poodle made from plastic 'jewels' it is white and gold and bad. I HAD a plaque made from macaroni...when you looked up 'ugly' in the dictornary you would see this plaque, it was handmade by some poor soul. I gave it to Jim A when he turned 50 as a gag gift, he in turn gave it away at his office Christmas party when they exchange "funny" gifts, I wonder where it went from there?

I did my "spider dance" in the front yard by the sidewalk today!! It is so embarrassing...whenever I see a spider I can't help it I jump, hop around and squeal. Thank goodness no one was walking by...but maybe neighbors were looking. Geez!!!
Bo Bice is going to be at the Stockton Fair in a week or so....all you have to pay to see him is the admission to the fair, about $8.00. County fairs...I wouldn't want to play fairs...the stage is always outdoors and it's always hot. But guess you do what you have to do. His fans are called "Bo Peeps" I just think that's funny..."Bo Peeps" lol
The mailman came at 7:19PM yesterday, I was on the computer and checked the time...is that late or what? If something important came in the mail that I had to deal with immediately I'd be out of luck. Well, that's my uninteresting news for the day...aren't you glad you checked? lol
