Nothing 4 Nothing

A sad day! I walked 4 blocks to the mailbox earlier today to deposit a letter. Much to my surprise I found a notice taped to it "Due to low usage this box will be taken away April 4, 2006. The nearest mailbox to this location is XYZ Street" Horror!!! The loss of my favorite mailbox is hard to take. I'll miss the old box, I watched it being repaired and painted, I watched it get back on its feet after a car crashed into it. I used this mailbox to send out my Christmas cards and invitations, I used the box to pay my bills...the box knew me well and I knew him.
