After Thoughts....

I watched the Olympics closing ceremony last night and enjoyed the show. Loved the people flying in the air free like birds, with no wires just a huge air machine holding them up in flight. Wouldn't you love to do that? Liked the hundreds of clowns and girls dressed like angels, but all the brides was sort of weird. Why did Ricky Martin close the show? I like Ricky, but why couldn't a popular Italian singer be the closing act? There are many fine Italian entertainers, Zucchero, Ligabue, Modena City Ramblers, Eros Ramazzotti come to mind. I would have liked to have seen and heard an Italian in Italy closing the ceremonies.
I switched tv channels about 10PM to see who won Dancing With The Stars...and happy it was Drew. Why is that show so popular? I like it but I don't see it as a top rated program. Maybe Americans like mindless entertainment...American Idol, Skating With Celebrities, all the reality shows....none of which make a person "think"....oh well, who am I to complain? Pour me a glass of wine I need to watch "Homer Simpson" lol lol
