Prayer Request???

I received a request from a Christian friend that asked me to "please pray for her dog" the mutt had a stomach problem or something. This request really got my blood boiling. People are dying every day of awful diseases, people are murdered and people are being killed in wars...and she wants me to pray for a DOG??? Does she think God will heal the dog because the mutt had prayers said for him and let a man die in the streets because he didn't? I was insulted to get such a stupid idiotic request...and she actually got fools to pray for the 4 legged beast...that was really an eye opener. Please pray for PEACE please pray for HUMAN BEINGS....but don't pray for a dog with an upset stomach! What's wrong with you people?

Sad Faces....

Wednesday January 24th is suppose to be the most depressing day of the year according to scientists. I can vouch for that...I'm already feeling depressed. This weekend was terrible, I didn't even feel like getting out of bed in the morning. I worried and stressed about everything and felt so sad and useless, it was horrible....and now I hear that Wednesday will be even worst!! Great...that is just what I needed!
I wish I could relax at the beach for awhile, watch the waves and listen to the seagulls...but that is impossible... I am stuck here...hoping for better days...as I doodle sad faces on pieces of paper.
I just wish something good will happen in my life this year...and in yours as well.
I'm tired of the bad stuff....

January 6, 2007

In Italy La Befana flies across the sky on January 6th leaving cookies and gifts to all the good little children. To those who were bad she leaves them a piece of coal.

It all started when the wisemen came to her house asking her if she wanted to come with them to visit the Christ child. She refused saying she was too busy cleaning and sweeping her house.
That is why she is always pictured with a broom.

Every year she regrets not going with the wisemen, so every year on January 6th she flies to all the houses occuiped by children in hopes that she will find the Christ child in one of them and that she will finally be able to give the Child her gift.

January 6th also ends the Christmas/Holiday season in Italy.

Hope La Befana is good to you!!

Last year on this date I made 10 predictions...of which zero came to pass. So with that in mind I will do another 10 for 2007.
1. There will be a renewed interest in Jesse James, the outlaw
2. Newark, NJ will make headlines
3. Autograph seekers will destroy the Two and a Half Men TV set
4. Dougherty will win more Grammys as a newcomer than any previous performer
5. Whales will embrace the hearts of millions
6. A new sweet smelling perfume will kill your appetite
7. Calif. Governor "Arnold" will announce his run for President and new rules will be made for him to be able to run.
8. Manatolita will rise to fame
9. San Francisco will become the new hot spot for celebrities
10. Mail will be delivered 3 days a week to save the post office from going bankrupt.

A Clean Slate...

I always stress out about a new year. Ahead of me lies uncertainties and fears. Behind me is a year that I know I already survived. 365 unpredictable days ahead, I hope and pray for the best.
In 2006 I had to say a final farewell to 2 friends; Sonja and Lynda, to a cousin Angelina and an Aunt Quintana....Precious people who I will fondly remember and truly miss. Ahead lies for certain financial problems, car problems and numerous everyday stresses. I will try to find ways to deal with each situation as they arise (and they WILL arise) and will try to make myself laugh more,
Ahead is a clean slate and with hesitancy I will make my first marks into 2007.
